Herbological.com is maintained by Jonathan Treasure, a medical herbalist with professional qualifications in both conventional medical sciences and herbal medicine from the UK, now located in Southern Oregon, USA. (See bio and consulting pages for further details)

After several years collaborative preparation and writing, Mosby (the mainstream medical imprint of Elsevier) will be publishing our textbook titled: Herb,Nutrient and Drug Interactions: Clinical Implications and Therapeutic Strategies. The book is due out early December 2007. About 800 pp and $80.00....

You can go to HERBLOG from here by using the top button on the navigation bar at the left. Better still, HERBLOG is already set up for RSS feeds so you can subscribe if you use a compliant newsreader or browser which will let you know automatically when the HERBLOG is updated.

If you are new to RSS, just use the orange button below to subscribe to HERBLOG (depending on your choice of newsreader drag the button to your newsreader subscription pane, or copy–paste the URL of the RSS feed after clicking on the orange button).

HERBLOG categories include occasional mention of research of interest, mainstream misinformation, herb-drug interactions updates, artemisinin and cancer updates, as well debunking of scams,and news of herbological.com updates such as HerbalBookworm reviews or Herbal Hypotheses. Podcasts of various talks or interviews given at national conferences and symposia by herbological.com  webmaster Jonathan Treasure will be added from time to time. The HERBLOG feed also posts automatically to iTunes whenever a podcast is posted.

At the present time, blog "comments" from readers have been disabled on the HERBLOG due to my time limitations, although that functionality may be added later.

 

What's New:December 25th 2005

herbological.com: major site revision
A long overdue update to the site appearance and organization, incorporating revised menus and navigation. The Herbal Bookworm section has been reformatted and new reviews added, with improved author and book information java pop-ups.

Two new sections of the site have been added. Herbal Hypotheses, will be series of innovative theoretical articles (also published as a regular column in the Journal of the American Herbalists Guild). The Herbal Medicine and Cancer section will feature more material on the topic of cancer treatment with botanicals. Check back for updates.

The Downloads section has been updated: Summary tables of drug interactions for major herbs will be added regularly. Coming soon will be .mp3 sound files of various symposium lectures and presentations.
